How our algorithm evaluates the sustainability of indie products.

FAQ

Q:What if I find my product is already listed?

If you find your product is already listed, please contact our operations manager "yunyingxiaowanzi" on WeChat to claim your product. Once claimed, you can update product info, manage releases, and gain more visibility.

Q:How can I effectively improve my product credit score?

Staying active is key to improving your credit. Regular updates (including features or bug fixes), meeting roadmap commitments on time, and refining product metadata (like screenshots, changelogs) can significantly boost your score. The system favors "consistent and stable" developers over "burst-mode" updates.

Q:My product is feature-complete and bug-free, so I don't need frequent updates. Will this affect my score?

Long periods of inactivity will be flagged by the system as "maintenance status questionable," leading to a slow decay in score. We recommend performing a maintenance update at least once every quarter (e.g., upgrading dependencies, adapting to new OS versions, or optimizing copy). This proves the developer is still online and responsible to users.

Q:I've released an update, why hasn't my credit score changed immediately?

Credit score calculations are performed daily, and data fetching from the App Store or other channels has some latency. Please allow 24-48 hours. If it's not synced after 3 days, or you believe there is a clear error, please submit feedback in the dashboard for manual review.

Q:What kind of products make it to the "Red Board" or "Black Board"?

The Red Board showcases "fulfillment benchmarks," typically products with high recent activity and sustained credit score growth. The Black Board is a "warning list," mainly for products that have been out of touch for a long time (no activity for over 1 year), severely breached commitments, or have been flagged by many users as "discontinued."

Q:Why do newly submitted products generally have low scores?

Trust takes time to build. New products receive a base score based on "initial commitment" upon entry. Over time, as long as you continue to fulfill and maintain, your score will steadily rise. At Indie Pledge, "survival time" itself is a significant bonus factor.
